BIO

Lucila Fliess is born in Buenos Aires in 1980. Set Designer with a Theater Arts college degree issued by Universidad del Salvador. She has also graduated from Teatro Colón Arts Institute as a professional theatrical makeup designer.

Born to a painter mother, she has developed her vocation for arts since her very early beginnings, being entirely self-taught.

Her aesthetic concerns have led her to be in contact with several areas in visual arts; she has studied painting and drawing, sculpture, photography, staging with Rubén Szuchmacher, costume design, scenic lightning amongst others…

She performs not only as a set designer and a fx makeup artist in the national and international scenario as well as a multi skilled artist.

Unlike her works in films, televisión and theatre, in which the main focus is set in satisfying the directors’ creative needs, in her personal artistic work complete freedom is manifested.

The three dimensional aspect in the theatre becomes alive in her sculptures or just plunges into her paintings.

She has attended several masters’ workshops such as Ariel Mlynarewicz (Asoc. A. Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes), Remo Bianchedi (seminarios postgrado I.U.N.A) and Laura Messing’s studio.
